This occasion is an honored tradition, occurring on the first day of the court each year, for the purpose of hearing eulogies and reflecting upon the careers of Oneida County attorneys who passed away in the calendar year.
For Law Day each year, high school students from area schools are invited to attend a morning Mock Trial program held at the Oneida County Courthouse in Utica, followed with a luncheon with attorneys and judges.
OCBA’s annual Hockey Night takes place at the Utica Memorial Auditorium for an evening of hockey for members, family and friends with the city’s popular AHL team – the Utica Comets. Download flyer
Our Annual Legal Line is sponsored by the OCBA’s Public Information & Education Committee, and Pro Bono Committee, during which the public can call-in with their legal questions. This event has become a tradition for the Oneida County Bar Association and continues to grow each year.
Lawyers in the Classroom
During the first week in May, the OCBA participates in the Lawyers in the Classroom and People’s Law School Programs, run by Leland McCormac, Esq.
The OCBA holds an “End of Summer Golf & Dinner Event” annually. This outing brings together judges, attorneys, government officials and business men and women who do business with our attorneys.
The OCBA holds an annual holiday event with attorneys, judges, staff, court personnel, abstractors, spouses and friends of the Bar.
